Our Client is seeking a LPN in Baltimore, MD.

AVAILABLE HOURS
* Full-time: Monday through Friday

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Treat all clients and staff with dignity and respect.
* Perform initial nursing assessment for clients and document in chart within 24 hours of admission in accordance withestablished program policies and state regulation.
*Arrange appropriate appointments with Health Care Providers to secure complete physical examinations, psychiatric appointments, required health screenings, and supplemental tests.
* Administer medications, as well supervise the self-administered medications, where appropriate and allowed by
regulation.
* Call in medication and/ or refills as directed by physician and collaborate with pharmacies for medication inspection
and destruction.
*Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and accurate records of same in compliance with governing
regulations and agency policy.
* Counsel clients on nutrition, health care, self-care, symptom management etc.
* Ensure that clients have appropriate medical coverage to guarantee safety, adequate care, and provider compliance for payment.
* Ensure proper safety and security of medication handling, storage, inventory, control, and administration as well as the proper storage of medical supplies as required by regulation.
* Develop and implement health seminars, including, but not limited to: HIV/AIDS, nutrition, medication education,
infectious diseases, mental health, etc.
* Participate in treatment/multidisciplinary team meetings, as directed.Implement and assure adherence to infection control policies and practices.
* Provide education for clients regarding health, nutrition, safety, and medication compliance.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
* One year experience in nursing preferred
* Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
* Valid registration as an LPN in the State of Maryland
* Obtain and maintain current First Aid and CPR certificate
