Our Client is seeking a Case Manager in Houston, TX to assist surviving women who were physically abused and connect them to appropriate services. The Case Manager will implement services with a trauma-informed, evidence-based, client-centered approach while assisting the women towards self-sufficiency.

Monday through Friday (9am-6pm)

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF OPPORTUNITY
* Provide pro-active case management which includes but is not limited to: motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, evaluating/assessing clients to determine their needs, connecting clients with services (i.e., financial assistance, counseling, or health care), assisting clients develop plans to achieve short and long-term goals, and following-up with clients to ensure they receive supportive services
* Network with community organizations to provide appropriate referrals for client needs.
* To help eleviate barriers, Mobile Advocacy may be required. This includes meeting the client in the community, at home, work, or other safe places, etc. and accompanying clients to appointments as needed.
* Maintain accurate records, reports, and files.
* Provide information on housing placement and intakes for clients entering into the housing program. Perform tasks necessary for clients to access housing including determining eligibility, collecting documentation, contacting property management, etc.
* Perform apartment inspections to ensure compliance guidelines are met
*Assist Coordinator with progam budget maintenance
*Evaluate and make recommendations concerning client services and programming.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Bachelors Degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or other social sciences
* Minimum of one (1) year experience supporing survivors of domestic or sexual violence from diverse backgrounds
* Crisis experience
* Proficient in Word, Outlook and other statistical software
* Excellent communication and documentation skills
* Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
