Our Client is seeking a Direct SUpport Professional (DSP)/Residential Aide to work in Brooklyn.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Provide instruction to individuals to promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth to persons with developmental disabilities within a group home setting.
* Ensure all activities are designed to foster growth to each individual's highest level of accomplishment.
* Ensure all care and services are delivered in a climate of normalization, caring, and concern.
* Assist medication intake and daily nutrition
* Transport and chaperone individuals to/from homes and programs.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Possess strong concern and teaching skills for individuals with emotional, behavioral, physical and/or developmental challenges
* Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent
* Minimum of one (1) year experience working with the DDD population.
* Valid Driver's License
* Ability to complete and pass given clearances
* Experience in the principles and application of Applied Behavior Analysis is a plus.
