The primary role of the Registered Nurses (RN) is to provide direct care and support to students in Chicago public schools.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Confident in skills to support a student with disabilities (quadriplegic, developmental delay)
* Student is located on the West Side
* Assignment will include riding the bus with the student and staying with them in school
* Observe students for development and health patterns
* Assess health complaints and care for students with special healthcare needs.
* Implement plans for students with chronic health problems, and coordinate the administration of medication within State law and Board policies.
* Demonstrate effective communication skills of listening, speaking and writing.
* Effectively support school personnel, parents, and children.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Current RN Illinois License
* Commitment to excellence, and a passion for caring for those in need.
* Must be self-motivated with a positive, energetic, and professional demeanor
* Current CPR/First Aide certification
