SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Provides instruction to increase clients’ knowledge and ability relating to areas such as resume building, job searching, interviewing skills, job retention, tools for effective workplace communication, and job skills; secures employment opportunities in the community and provides job placement and retention services for clients; assesses clients for job readiness and abilities; follows-up with clients to determine progress in obtaining and maintaining employment.
* Interviews clients and determines skills, needs, goals, and sincerity; secures employment opportunities in the community for eligible clients; follows up with clients to determine progress in obtaining and maintaining employment.
* Talks with individual employers as to their employment needs; reviews and compiles employer’s information identifying employer needs
* Enters client data into the computer database; records and updates database regarding each contact with client and/or employer.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
*Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work and one to two years of experience working in education, job development and job placement, or a social or public service environment with experience assisting the public, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Certifications:
*Valid State Drivers License
