Our Client is seeking Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) in the Norristown area for Certified Nursing assistance to service clients with addictions, mental health & behavioral health issues. This position will include rounds, vitals, meeting with clients, treatment interventions, goal setting, counseling and documentation.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Assist the nurse and treatment team in providing a safe and supportive environment which promotes patient rehabilitation
* Participate in nursing shift report for full update on status of patients
* Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies and assists in the management of behavioral emergencies utilizing nonviolent crisis interventions
* Available for discussions with individual patients as needed
*Assist with basic nursing procedures including personal hygiene as needed (bed bath, showers, dressing, measuring intake and output etc.), vital signs, weights, observation of urine specimen collection, transporting and lifting patients, and care of psychiatric patients
* Search new admissions, both patient and belongings, and provide patient orientation to unit and hospital with appropriate corresponding documentation and signatures
* Transport charts, mail, food trays, unit supplies, and hospital correspondence
* Supervise patients on 1:1 and special precaution
* Make hourly rounds of assigned unit, observing every patient every hour, documenting his/her location - utilizing required procedure.
* Drive and/or escort patients off grounds to appointments, meetings, etc., as needed
