Recovery Specialist in Jamaica Plain, MA. $16/hr Immediate Start

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
Work with a team comprised of medical professionals, clinicians and case managers to provide support, counseling and community referrals to females with substance Abuse and co-occurring disorders. Recovery Specialist will have direct contact with clients, and monitor their daily recovery progress. Responsible for maintaining the safety of clients, facility and provide understanding and direction to the clients in program.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensuring clients attend groups and counseling as assigned
* Provide supervision to clients at all times during and by keeping the daily schedule of the program
* Assisting Client's through the admission process, as needed
* Orienting new clients to the facility
* Ensure client's complete daily life skills including personal hygiene
* Ensure the safety of resident's (physical and emotional) well being
* Ensure that the program policies are followed and document any deviation of said policies
* Provide crisis intervention when necessary
* Supervise clients during meals
* Provide supervision to clients during designated smoking breaks (Staff are not allowed to smoke with clients)
* Other duties as assigned including assisting with meals if needed

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Minimum of one (1) year experience working with adults with substance Abuse and / or Mental Heath Issues in a health care setting
* Must be self-motivated with a positive, energetic, and professional demeanor
