SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* De-escalate students who demonstrate behavioral challenges
* Assist classroom teacher with lesson delivery, classroom management, and material development
* Track student progress throughout the day, using charts or graphics when necessary
* Empower students with strategies that enhance their strengths
* Provide an encouraging and supportive presence to students
* Monitor the classroom to minimize distractions and disruptions
* Help teacher facilitate technology in the classroom when necessary

CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
* Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children who demonstrate behavioral challenges and/or have special needs including autism or medical fragility
* Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED OR Associate's degree, 60 college credits, or ParaPro a plus!
* Willingness to complete PMT (restraint) training
* Fingerprint background check
