Occupational Therapist-Compensation starting at $75.00 per hour
The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides mandated occupational therapy services to students with disabilities attending parentally placed nonpublic schools in accordance with their Individualized Education Services Plans (IESPs). The OT supports students’ ability to participate successfully in educational and daily routines through direct service, consultation, assessment, and collaboration with school staff and families. M-F 8:30-3:30 (In-Person), Grade: K-6. Compensation starting at $75.00 per hour

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to eligible students in accordance with IESP mandates.
* Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and prepare comprehensive written reports to determine student needs and service recommendations.
* Complete additional assessments for students attending out-of-district placements, as requested by the district, to support eligibility determinations or program reviews.
*Develop and implement individualized therapy plans addressing fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, self-regulation, and functional school participation skills.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including session notes, progress reports, attendance logs, and Medicaid billing (if applicable).
* Participate in IESP/CSE meetings as requested by the district to review progress and service recommendations.
* Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to support carryover of strategies and accommodations in the educational setting.
* Provide consultation and training to nonpublic school staff regarding sensory regulation, classroom adaptations, and fine motor supports.
* Follow all district policies, state regulations, and professional ethical standards.
* Communicate effectively with the Director of Special Education or designee regarding student progress, scheduling, and program needs.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Valid New York State License as an Occupational Therapist
* Registration with the NYS Education Department Office of the Professions
* Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings
* Knowledge of IDEA and Section 3602-c services for parentally placed students
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
