SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
The Day-to-Day Substitute Paraprofessional provides short-term instructional and behavioral support to students in a classroom setting when the regular paraprofessional is absent. This role supports teachers and school staff by assisting with student supervision, instruction, and daily activities to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

Schools are located in St. Charles, IL

DESCRIPTION OF CLIENT'S DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Ability to assist the teacher(s) in instructional activities, including use of assistive technology, supervision of students, reinforcement of appropriate student behavior, and supporting student health care needs.
* Ability to build positive and purposeful relationships with students, parents, teachers, and other school staff.
* Flexibility, patience, creativity, and ability to collaborate as part of a team working with diverse learners.
* For special education environments: willingness and ability to support students' personal care needs, supervise integration into community settings, and assist in other supportive activities.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
*A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
* Experience working with children with a wide range of abilities - especially in special education settings
* Illinois paraprofessional license (Educator License with Stipulations: PARA) or a substitute license.
*Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
