Our client is seeking a RN to work at one of the many DC Public and/or Charter schools as the school nurse.
The nurses are front line advocates for children, every single day of the year. The school's nursing team provides comprehensive school health nursing services to school age children in the areas of heath.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Interpret student immunization need* Expand clinical base of nursing knowledge and skills
* Conduct various screenings (i.e. vision, hearing, BMI)
* Evaluation and treatment of conditions
* Clinical referrals
* Assist in the determining the needs of the general student population and children with special health care needs

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Minimum work experience 3 years
* Valid DC RN or LPN license (or proof of applying for DC License)
* Knowledge and understanding of a school health program, including recognizing trends relating to school health as
* Knowledge of the techniques of data collection for an analysis of health needs
* Knowledge of a wide variety of medical conditions, diagnoses and specific diseases
* Knowledge of medication administration practices
*Ability to provide general health information to school age children and families with a wide variety of health problems

Compensation rate for RN will be up to 52.00 per hour
