One of our clients is seeking a School-Based Audiologist
CLIENT'S AVAILABLE HOURS/ROLE TYPE
Part Time | 20 hours per week this school year, with potential extension into next school year for this district and other districts in the area | School District (Elementary & High School Levels)
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
The School-Based Audiologist will support multiple schools within the district, including several elementary schools and a few high schools, by addressing students’ hearing, auditory processing, and communication needs through evaluation, consultation, and direct services as appropriate. This role involves collaborating with educators, special education teams, and families to ensure students have access to instruction and effective communication within the educational environment. Responsibilities include conducting hearing screenings and diagnostic evaluations, consulting with IEP teams, supporting assistive listening devices, contributing to eligibility and service recommendations, and completing all documentation and reporting in accordance with district procedures.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD preferred)
- Valid state licensure in Audiology
- ASHA certification (preferred or required depending on district)
- Schoolbased experience preferred
- Experience with pediatric and adolescent populations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for multidisciplinary team settings
- Ability to support IEP teams and provide consultation services
